M/s Chowgule and Company Pvt. Ltd. engaged NV Dynamics to conduct comprehensive noise assessments for their newly constructed General Cargo Vessel, named “JILL C,” currently located at Mormugao Port, Goa. The scope of work included carrying out noise level measurements onboard, under both harbour conditions and during sea trials. These measurements were performed in a single designated habitability space to evaluate compliance with applicable maritime noise standards and regulations governing shipboard noise levels.

NV Dynamics was engaged by M/s Adofil International Private Limited to compare vibration outputs from their MEMS Banner transducer with readings obtained using NVD’s calibrated vibration transducer. The scope involved conducting vibration measurements on a motor unit and evaluating the data acquired from both systems to assess accuracy and consistency. Additionally, the vibration data was analyzed to determine the primary source of vibration within the motor unit based on observed characteristics and operating conditions.

NV Dynamics was contracted by UCSL to conduct noise and vibration assessments on their newly built 3800 DWT general cargo vessel named WILSON ECO 4. The scope of the project involved performing onboard noise measurements at the harbour and during sea trials and conducting vibration assessments only during sea trials in both habitability and machinery spaces in compliance with relevant noise and vibration standards for ships.

NV Dynamics has further enhanced its acoustic measurement capabilities by integrating a high-precision sound intensity probe into its instrumentation portfolio, enabling accurate sound power determination and noise source identification by spatial localization. This addition supports advanced diagnostics in complex acoustic environments, particularly for applications in automotive, aerospace and industrial sectors where sound intensity mapping and noise source identification are critical to design optimization and regulatory compliance.
