Gleam Innovations Pvt Ltd commissioned NV Dynamics to assess ground vibration levels within their newly constructed office space. The primary objective was to evaluate the current vibrations produced by existing operational equipment on the floor, in order to identify a suitable spot for installing vibration-sensitive machinery.
At each location, transducers were installed along orthogonal axes directly on the floor surface. These sensors were connected to a multichannel data acquisition system, which was set up to capture real-time vibration data. Measurements were taken while all existing equipment was active, ensuring accurate representation of the operational environment. Additionally, impact hammer tests were performed at each location to identify the floor’s natural frequency.
The collected data was processed into one-third octave frequency bands and analysed. Results were then compared with Vibration Criteria (VC) curves to determine compliance. Based on this analysis, the most appropriate location was identified for the placement of vibration-sensitive equipment.
